By plane: Leonardo da Vinci in Rome Fiumicino and A.Vespucci in Firenze Peretola. Once there, you can easily take a train or rent a car. With a shuttle train from the airports you get directly to the train station in Rome and Firenze, and then just follow the next directions. If you want to rent a car, once out of the airports, follow the directions for the A1 Firenze-Roma motorway, then follow the next directions. By train: From your departing station, take the first train to Arezzo and then the first local train to Cortona-Camucia station. By car: -To reach Cortona driving on the Autostrada del Sole motorway (A1) (both northbound and southbound), -exit at the Valdichiana toll-gate and get on the Siena-Perugia speedway going towards Perugia. -Get off the motorway at the Cortona-San Lorenzo exit. - At the stop sign take a right turn and keep driving towards Cortona, -drive past Camucia and follow the signs for Cortona. - Climbing up the hill, go along after driving past the Cortona town-limit sign, - keep driving about 500 m and arrive in P.zza Mazzini, - turn right into the Colonia gate, and after 200 m. (via Dardano n°6) on the left you find Le Gelosie.

A fully-equipped professional kitchen converted from the old cellar of the house is used by Mrs.Paola to fix for the guests delicious breakfasts (upon request), incredible "marmellatas" (jams) and wonderful cakes. In addition, the evening guests, upon request, can eat in the small restaurant to taste the best local cuisine and Tuscan prepared with genuine products and fresh, always accompanied by classic Chianti wine and Vin Santo of grandfather. We serve products for coeliac and wheat intolerant.

From the A1-exit Valdichiana Bettolle. Take the highway in the direction of Perugia and quit after 4 km Cortona-Foiano della Chiana. Follow the signs to hospital. At the roundabout at the 1 km to continue up. At the next roundabout turn right and follow the signs to Creti-Fratticiola. The B & B is after 800 meters on the right.

Cortona, one of the twelve original cities forming the Etruscan confederation, is little changed from Medieval times. Its enormous Etruscan walls, erected 700 B.C., encircle imposing structures modified only during the Medieval period. Except for a few beautiful Renaissance palaces, the prevalent character of the Cortona buildings are Medieval; the narrow, winding and steep streets are evocative of an ancient age. From every part of Cortona, 600 meters in altitude, the stupendous view overlooks all of the Valdichiana, with sweeping views of Lake Trasimeno towards Umbria.

By Car 1.From A1 (either north- or southbound) take the Valdichiana exit. 2.After you pay your toll, turn to the right and follow directions to the Perugia higway 3.Continue on it for about 12 km to the Cortona exit (second exit on the way). 4.In just under 3 km you'll see Cortona on the hill. 5.Once you reach Camucia, follow signs to Arezzo 6.Turn left towards Fratta (indication signs will be on your left from the state road) and we are on the right hand side.
