By Car: From the A1 motorway exit Valdichiane: - Continue in the direction of Cortona. - Join the major road for Perugia and exit at the sign for Cortona. - Follow the signs to Cortona for a further 20 minutes. - The road rises to Cortona. On the road around the city walls you will see the sign for Portole along the SP34 road. Portole is 7 km north of Cortona.

Pizza made in a wood burning oven is available in the evenings, and we have a poolside bar. Internationally renowned Mamma Donatella, Chef Ornella, and our friendly and efficient staff make your meal a delicious and pleasurable experience. The only difficulty will be in choosing from the traditional Tuscan dishes: simple recipes which combine choice ingredients for exquisite results. The wines on our carefully selected wine list are prevalently Tuscan and include fine local selections.

Cortona, one of the twelve original cities forming the Etruscan confederation, is little changed from Medieval times. Its enormous Etruscan walls, erected 700 B.C., encircle imposing structures modified only during the Medieval period. Except for a few beautiful Renaissance palaces, the prevalent character of the Cortona buildings are Medieval; the narrow, winding and steep streets are evocative of an ancient age. From every part of Cortona, 600 meters in altitude, the stupendous view overlooks all of the Valdichiana, with sweeping views of Lake Trasimeno towards Umbria.

By Car 1.From A1 (either north- or southbound) take the Valdichiana exit. 2.After you pay your toll, turn to the right and follow directions to the Perugia higway 3.Continue on it for about 12 km to the Cortona exit (second exit on the way). 4.In just under 3 km you'll see Cortona on the hill. 5.Once you reach Camucia, follow signs to Arezzo 6.Turn left towards Fratta (indication signs will be on your left from the state road) and we are on the right hand side.

By car. From Milan, Rome or Florence you take the A1 motorway (Autostrada del Sole) and exit at Valdichiana. Take the ss 75 highway towards Perugia, exit the at the Cortona junction and follow the signs to Cortona.Climbing up the hill, after driving the Cortona town-limit sign,keep driving 150mt and turn right into Piazza del Mercato.On the right you will find a big door inside the court walls,after the door you will turn right in Via San Sebastiano, 31 ( our apartments). By Train The nearest station is Camucia. Express and intercity trains generally stop at Terontola, ca. 10 km from the Apartment, whereas the Eurostar and high speed trains only stop at Arezzo,30 km from Belvedere Apartments.
