Relais Villa Baldelli, a 17th century villa, which has undergone indispensable and meticulous restoration due to the needs of its new receptive function, has maintained its original unaltered condition inside and out. The original working water well is supplied by an underground water table, the paths and the trees invite you to rest and find peace in their shade, the paving is in cobblestone, the walls of the rooms are lightly painted with pastoral frescoes and decorated with vintage paintings and printed reproductions. The furniture and the four-poster beds are also vintage. If you arrive from the north of Italy, follow direction Rome. From the south of Italy you should follow directions for Florence. Exit the Autostrada A1 at Valdichiana and follow the superstrada in the direction of Cortona. Take the exit 'Cortona' and follow your way towards Camucia. Camucia is at the foothill of Cortona. Follow the signs for Cortona uphill. Halfway you will come to a crossroads where you go to the right towards Mercatale, then Pergo. Here you will also find signs for La Corte dei Papi. Follow the signs for about 5 km. The Relais "La Corte dei Papi" is on your right hand side, just after entering 'Pergo'.

From highway A1: Continue along the State Motorway SS75 bis 'Siena Perugia' exiting at the second 'Cortona' indication and follow for about 5 km. Arriving in the center of 'Camucia' one finds a soccer field to the right and immediately arrives at a crossing. Here turn left (Cortona) and follow for about 400 meters. At the traffic light turn right (a tight U curve). After about 50 meters turn left ('via Scotoni') and follow the long incline in the direction of Cortona. One reaches a crossing and is able to see the historic center of Cortona and follow for about 2 km. The road is comprised of two wide curves after which a fork in the road indicates the various directions to hotels and restaurants in Cortona and also one for Villa Marsili. Here turn right once more (U curve) and follow the incline that is a tree-lined avenue. Follow from the crossing for about 500 meters, until to the right one finds a fenced three floored yellow building. This is the Villa Marsili. It is advised to continue along for a few meters until the road widens somewhat. Here one will find a parking lot to the right. From Perugia: Take the State Motorway SS75 bis 'Siena Perugia' and exit at the 'Castiglione del Lago' indication. Merging to the right one will then find a sign for Cortona. Continue for about 7 km until one reaches the traffic light within Camucia. At this point turn right (U curve). Then follow the above indications. Distance in kilometres to the main towns and tourist locations of Tuscany: Pisa 200 km; Florence 122 km; Siena 75 km.

The old centre of Cortona retains much of its natural charm and is surrounded by medieval walls which are not only an interesting element of the landscape but also a monument of strong archaelogical importance. The present perimeter is about 3km. An array of restaurants, shops, museums, churches and a Medici fortress are in the vicinity. -The city centre is an easy, pleasant walk of about 1 km. By Car; It can be easily accessed by the Autostrada del Sole A1. - Take the Valdichiana exit, state motorway S.S. 75 to Perugia, - Exit in the direction Cortona, or exit to Castiglione del Lago. -Turn right and take S.S. 71 after Terontola, Riccio and Camucia. -At the 2nd traffic-lights turn to the right towards Cortona, drive round the external walls and follow the sign for Corys. By Train; Follow the route, Milan-Florence-Rome railway (Terontola-Cortona).
