From highway A1: Continue along the State Motorway SS75 bis 'Siena Perugia' exiting at the second 'Cortona' indication and follow for about 5 km. Arriving in the center of 'Camucia' one finds a soccer field to the right and immediately arrives at a crossing. Here turn left (Cortona) and follow for about 400 meters. At the traffic light turn right (a tight U curve). After about 50 meters turn left ('via Scotoni') and follow the long incline in the direction of Cortona. One reaches a crossing and is able to see the historic center of Cortona and follow for about 2 km. The road is comprised of two wide curves after which a fork in the road indicates the various directions to hotels and restaurants in Cortona and also one for Villa Marsili. Here turn right once more (U curve) and follow the incline that is a tree-lined avenue. Follow from the crossing for about 500 meters, until to the right one finds a fenced three floored yellow building. This is the Villa Marsili. It is advised to continue along for a few meters until the road widens somewhat. Here one will find a parking lot to the right. From Perugia: Take the State Motorway SS75 bis 'Siena Perugia' and exit at the 'Castiglione del Lago' indication. Merging to the right one will then find a sign for Cortona. Continue for about 7 km until one reaches the traffic light within Camucia. At this point turn right (U curve). Then follow the above indications. Distance in kilometres to the main towns and tourist locations of Tuscany: Pisa 200 km; Florence 122 km; Siena 75 km.

The museum was created by the initiative of three culturated Cortonese brothers, Marcello, Ridolfino and Filippo Venuti, founders of the Etruscan Academy, who gathered in this seat a rich archaeological collection and an important library, both gifts of their uncle Onofrio Baldelli, for the cultural promotion of the Etruscan Academy. The area stretching from Valdichiana to the Casentino area until the town of Cortona is the location of the "Terre di Arezzo" wine route, which is over 125 miles long. This area has always been characterized by a large production of different types of wines, many of which receive 'DOC', 'DOCG' and 'IGT' certifications every year. Among the grapevines that are picked and distilled in this area are: Chianti, Chianti colli aretini, Colli Etruria Centrale, Valdichiana, Cortona and Vinsanto del Chianti. Red, white and dessert wines are produced and bottled in the wine territories around Arezzo. As per tradition, from June through September, a rich concert programme featuring classical music, chamber music and Jazz is organized in the enchanting settings of Borgo il Melone. Classical music’s most celebrated artists including Lang Lang, Antonio Pappano, Thomas Hampson, Midori, Sarah Chang, Salvatore Accardo, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Hélène Grimaud, John Corigliano, Dmitry Sitkovetsky and Nina Kotova will highlight the third annual Tuscan Sun Festival on August 5-21, 2005, in Cortona, Italy. The Museum of the Etruscan Academy is housed at the noble floor of the historic Palazzo Casali, erected in the 13th century, later turned to official residence of the family that ruled the signoria of Cortona (1325-1409) and, then in 1411, adapted to be the seat of Florentine captains and commissaries. The museum was created by the initiative of three culturated Cortonese brothers, Marcello, Ridolfino and Filippo Venuti, founders of the Etruscan Academy, who gathered in this seat a rich archaeological collection and an important library, both gifts of their uncle Onofrio Baldelli, for the cultural promotion of the Etruscan Academy. The area stretching from Valdichiana to the Casentino area until the town of Cortona is the location of the "Terre di Arezzo" wine route, which is over 125 miles long. This area has always been characterized by a large production of different types of wines, many of which receive 'DOC', 'DOCG' and 'IGT' certifications every year. Among the grapevines that are picked and distilled in this area are: Chianti, Chianti colli aretini, Colli Etruria Centrale, Valdichiana, Cortona and Vinsanto del Chianti. Red, white and dessert wines are produced and bottled in the wine territories around Arezzo. They are mostly noble wines, with a medium alcoholic content, and can be drunk young or preserved in time.
