Relais Villa Baldelli, a 17th century villa, which has undergone indispensable and meticulous restoration due to the needs of its new receptive function, has maintained its original unaltered condition inside and out. The original working water well is supplied by an underground water table, the paths and the trees invite you to rest and find peace in their shade, the paving is in cobblestone, the walls of the rooms are lightly painted with pastoral frescoes and decorated with vintage paintings and printed reproductions. The furniture and the four-poster beds are also vintage. Only the bathroom furnishings, simply elegant and efficient, with hydro massage bathtubs; bring the guest back to the reality of the third millennium. The villa has 15 rooms now available, of which 5 are junior suites, 5 are deluxe rooms and 5 are classic rooms. The ground floor hall is particularly charming with its decoration made out of segments of seventeenth-century altars. From the hall you can enter the Relaxing Room furnished with sofas and tables. There is also a small bar and breakfast room on the ground floor, in which the antique stone fireplace makes a fine setting representing the history of the villa. For leisure time activities outside the villa, the guests have an 18 x 9 meters pool, a golf course and footpaths for walking, horseback riding and mountain biking, at their disposal.

The villa has 15 rooms now available, of which 5 are junior suites, 5 are deluxe rooms and 5 are classic rooms. Relais Villa Baldelli is a real discovery for tourists: immersed in the peace and quiet of the pleasant and abundant surrounding countryside, even thought it is close to residential areas and transportation routes. If you look up you will see the rooftops, belfries and towers softly reaching towards the west like a painting hanging in the air in limbo: it is Cortona, the oldest city in Italy, as written by the American writer Henry James enchanted by the city.

By car From Milan, Rome or Florence you take the A1 motorway (Autostrada del Sole) and exit at Valdichiana. Take the ss 75 highway towards Perugia, exit the at the Cortona junction. Follow ss 71 in the direction of Arezzo. Cross the area of Sodo(where Etruscan tombs are located), on the right is a sign to Relais Villa Baldelli; follow the signs to the villa (only a few meters from the main road) where the personnel of the villa will give the guests a warm welcome. By Train The closest station is Camucia, served by local trains. Express trains and direct trains generally stop at Terontola about 10 kms from Relais Villa Baldelli, while the Eurostar and Pendolino trains stop only in Arezzo, at 20 kms distance.

The Hotel Villa Marsili, a fascinating history of the building itself and the charm of its location in historic Cortona. The views from the Hotel are absolutely outstanding. The building faces the Valdichiana therefore offering each client the spectacular view of Mount Amiata, Mount Cetona, Lake Trasimeno and the surrounding hills.Villa Marsili is situated inside the town walls and dates back as far as the XIV Century where the site actually housed the very old church named Madonna degli Alemanni, as well as an Oratory below. Later in the 1700s, the site held the villa that now has become the beautiful Hotel.

From highway A1: Continue along the State Motorway SS75 bis 'Siena Perugia' exiting at the second 'Cortona' indication and follow for about 5 km. Arriving in the center of 'Camucia' one finds a soccer field to the right and immediately arrives at a crossing. Here turn left (Cortona) and follow for about 400 meters. At the traffic light turn right (a tight U curve). After about 50 meters turn left ('via Scotoni') and follow the long incline in the direction of Cortona. One reaches a crossing and is able to see the historic center of Cortona and follow for about 2 km. The road is comprised of two wide curves after which a fork in the road indicates the various directions to hotels and restaurants in Cortona and also one for Villa Marsili. Here turn right once more (U curve) and follow the incline that is a tree-lined avenue. Follow from the crossing for about 500 meters, until to the right one finds a fenced three floored yellow building. This is the Villa Marsili. It is advised to continue along for a few meters until the road widens somewhat. Here one will find a parking lot to the right. From Perugia: Take the State Motorway SS75 bis 'Siena Perugia' and exit at the 'Castiglione del Lago' indication. Merging to the right one will then find a sign for Cortona. Continue for about 7 km until one reaches the traffic light within Camucia. At this point turn right (U curve). Then follow the above indications. Distance in kilometres to the main towns and tourist locations of Tuscany: Pisa 200 km; Florence 122 km; Siena 75 km.

The SS71 leads to Camucia where signs indicate the route to Cortona. By Train: if you arrive at Camucia's station go ahead along the main street, the hotel is about 500 m from the station. If you arrive in Terontola, you have to take a bus or a taxi. Camucia is about 8 Km from the station.
