From Piombino, there are 2 ferry companies ( Toremar and Moby Lines ) that will bring you to Elba Island. Both services offer daily departures on an hourly basis during tourist season. Ferry rides take one hour and arrive in one of the following harbours: Portoferraio, Porto Azzurro or Rio Marina. A hydrofoil service operates from Piombino to Portoferraio (via Cavo) and takes only 35 minutes. This service is only available to passengers without automobiles.
